Sometimes, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel in order to come up with something innovative and special. I’ll be 100% honest with you, when this product arrived, I was initially underwhelmed by what it did. But as the saying goes; never judge a book by it’s cover.

Because behind it’s simple premise, the ArcWave Voy is actually a genius piece of kit, one that proved to be a spectacular hit in the bedroom. And it’s the simplicity, married with a futuristic sleek design that just goes to show that you don’t need to throw every bell and whistle at something in order to make it good! We have many thoughts to share with you about this toy, so let’s not waste any further time and lets dive right into the review…

First Impressions

This is our second experience with the brand ArcWave. Our first experience was with the Ion; something that I would describe as revolutionary and we were very excited about. So when I was approached to review the upcoming launch, I had very high hopes. When it arrived, the packaging it just as sleek as you would expect; premium storage box making it a very ‘giftable’ product. It’s like unpacking some high-end tech, and to be fair, the design of the Voy is very… well, tech! It kind of looks like some sort of smart speaker. If it was left out on the side, I don’t think anyone would assume it was a sex toy. And that I appreciate, because I am forever leaving sex toys lying around (you know, hazards of the job) and it often means scrambling to hide everything when we have guests (expected or not!).

Now, this is my bad, but for some reason, I assumed it was some sort of vibrating device and when I discovered it was actually just a manual stroker, I was a bit, sad. I don’t know why but as I took it out to inspect it, I was initially feeling a little underwhelmed. But then I began to explore, and soon my interest was piqued again. So the Voy is an open ended stroker, not too dissimilar to things like the QuickShot; however this is built MUCH sturdier, and the stroking sleeve itself is actually made from a soft silicone, rather than the TPE/TPR of most other strokers. The Voy also utilises TAS, or Tightness Adjustment System. When you twist the Voy, the internal canal contracts, allowing you to increase the tightness.

Inside the box is a little leaflet detailing use and maintenance, along side a sample bottle of Pjur water-based lubricant (which I’m not a fan of) but it’s nice to have something like that included.

In Use

So we certainly had a lot of fun when testing out the Voy. I don’t even know where to begin! So let’s start with solo use. With a good liberal coating of lube, slipping inside the Voy on it’s loosest setting is fairly nice. The silicone, whilst soft and squishy, is firmer than a Fleshlight so the ribbed texture of the canal really comes through. Twisting the TAS is simple and quite easy to do during use, and you certainly can feel the difference. On it’s tightest setting, the sensations are very intense – it really does feel like it’s squeezing every last drop out of you. My husband found that he preferred the tightness around the mid-level. He is somewhat girthier than myself, but there was still plenty of him to enjoy.

But we found the Voy more enjoyable when used together. So with him laying on his back, I slip the Voy over his cock, and began stroking. The internal canal length is around 3.5 inches, so as I stroke it along the full length of his shaft, his bulbous glans pokes through the top. It’s incredibly sexy to watch, and also meant that with each stroke, I could take the tip into my mouth to further extend the pleasure. This had him arching his back and writhing around like a fish out of water.

Taking this a little further, I knelt next to his head, and began thrusting myself through the Voy. He turned to face me, and he thoroughly enjoyed the sight of my cock bursting out through the other end. He moved his mouth to create a seal around the second opening, so as I thrust through, it was met with a warm mouth, creating a fully multi-sensory experience.

In a moment that felt like it could be silly, I whispered to him that I wanted to ‘try something’. I lay face down, my back arched and my butt in the air. I told him to hold the Voy against my hole and then for him to just go to town. And he did, and oh my goodness, it was hot! With one hand holding my waist, the other holding the Voy, he began pumping away; his cock teasing my hole with each thrust. I begged for him to cum whilst I frantically masturbated. The sensation of his cock just barely penetrating me was pushing me over. He let out one final thrust and then he gasped loudly. I felt his warm load over my arse. As he collapsed, I quickly reach round for the Voy and plunged myself into the now warm, sticky hole and with just a couple of strokes, I was also orgasming with a knee-trembling intensity.

As we both collapsed onto the bed, in a pile of sweat, lube and spunk; we both turned to each other and said “Amazing. Just amazing…”.

Clean-up and Maintenance

The Voy is incredibly easy to clean. The silicone sleeve removes from the case and can be rinsed with water and soap or toy cleaner. As it’s silicone, you can also boil or or bung it in the dishwasher for sanitisation. But honestly, a good rinse is enough. The sleeve can be pat dry and then stored away. The end caps have ventilation holes in, so even if the Voy goes away a little damp, they will still allow it to dry. The silicone is prone to picking up a little dust and hair, but a quick rinse under the tap before use will solve that.

Summary

Honestly, finding something to be critical about the Voy is quite difficult! It’s a little bigger than a QuickShot, but it still feels quite comfortable in the hand. The open-ended design not only means that it can accommodate most sizes, it also adds extra levels of fun and sensation dependent on how you use the Voy. The price is reasonable considering what you are getting. Silicone will last a LOT longer than most other TPE/TPR sleeves, which you’ll end up needing to replace regularly as they can never be fully sanitised.

So what would I like to see in a Voy 2? Well, a vibrating version would be pretty sweet! David also lamented the idea of a ‘see-through’ version. He’s always enjoyed being able to fully see the action; but given the tightening mechanism, I’m just not sure if it would translate well in a clear material. But hey, we can dream, right? With two toys now under their belt, ArcWave is now my ‘brand to watch’ and I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!
