This isn’t going to be a ‘full length’ review, as most of what needs to be said here, has already been covered in our previous review for the HUGO.

However, there are some slight differences between the HUGO and BRUNO which I will cover here, which will hopefully make it easier for you to decide which version you should get. So let’s get straight on to it.

First Impressions

The packaging for the BRUNO will be exactly the same as HUGO. The sample I was sent did not come in the packaging, so I can’t show you – but if you look at our review of the LOKI – the packaging is very similar to that. Inside the box, you get the BRUNO, a USB charging cable, storage bag, Instructions and a sample of LELO Personal Moisturiser.

In Use

For the most part, the sensations provided by the BRUNO are pretty much the same as the HUGO – so if you want to read about how it feels, then take a look at the review. In short, it’s powerful, easy to insert and the dual motors certainly provide a good level of stimulation.

As we both lay there with our respective toys buzzing away, we soon reached the pinnacle of pleasure and whilst touching each other, we both reached climax at the same time. It was powerful, slightly disorientating and admittedly, I was left very out of breath. He was laying there completely drenched in sweat and was huffing and puffing away too. I’m pretty sure this means it was a success.

The BRUNO differs from HUGO in 2 ways. Firstly, it isn’t remote controlled. All functions are operated by the touch button at the base. I’m happy to report that despite this, the BRUNO is still fairly easy to operate once inserted, unlike the ROSA. However, like the ROSA, the power is just not quite the same – but as I already mentioned in the HUGO review, the power is not *that* far off.

Secondly, the BRUNO is just ALL POWER. Unlike the HUGO, where you can control the intensity of patterns using the remote, you can’t do that here – so basically, you get all of the patterns on maximum intensity. This is great if you want power, and need power from the get go – however, if like me, you prefer the slower build up and the graduation of power, then HUGO is the one for you. With that in mind, this might make the BRUNO a bit too intense for first timers, and again, I would suggest the HUGO over the BRUNO.

I guess the other difference I should mention is the price. BRUNO is cheaper (around about £40 cheaper) at £119.99. HUGO clocks in at £159.99.

Clean-up & Maintenance

BRUNO is also completely waterproof, so can be taken into the bath or shower for some aquatic fun. Simply rinse with warm water and some toy cleaner, before drying throughly and storing it away in the provided silk storage bag.

Summary

So as a toy, BRUNO does feel really good, and it works effectively. So if you are looking to invest in a luxury toy, then you can’t really go wrong. It’s powerful, waterproof and at a size that almost anyone of any experience can safely and comfortably use the BRUNO.

However, for me, personally – the fact that you cannot adjust the power settings is a tad frustrating, but as I said – I am definitely someone who prefers the build up. I would still recommend the HUGO over BRUNO, purely for the fact the remote control certainly does add lots more to the table.
