Earlier on this year, I was completely blown away by the creative talents of a brand new UK based sex toy manufacturer Godemiche. Their ADAM dildo was affordable and available in a multitude of colours, and the one they sent me was just delightful.

It’s so exciting to have a company as passionate as Godemiche in the UK. Most of the big artisanal dildo companies are based overseas, which means importing high quality silicone toys can be VERY expensive. But here are Adam and Monika – crafting beautiful handmade dildos that are as affordable as they are unique.

The Godemiche AMBIT is the latest design from the talented and delightfully eccentric team and when I saw it, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. I had previously seen the gorgeous work they had done with the ADAM and creating this ‘galaxy’ design. That was what I wanted, no… NEEDED to have. And that is what they delivered and I am simply delighted with how it turned out.

Update 14th August 2017: Unfortunately, some ongoing issues with Godemiche have forced me to withdraw my support for them, and I am currently not promoting them. For a full disclosure on why this is the case, please check out this post. For the sake of maintaining content, this review will remain here in it’s unedited form. The information in the aforementioned post has been written to allow you, the consumer, the ability to make a fully informed decision prior to any purchase.

First Impressions

My AMBIT was sent out just prior to Godemiche finalizing their packaging for their products. Mine arrived in a simple plastic bag along with the ‘birth certificate’. This is one of those quirky little touches that just makes me smile. If you follow them on SnapChat, you can watch them make your dildo. You also get an insight into the minds of Adam and Monika – and I can tell you it’s never a dull moment.

Going forward, any dildo ordered will arrive in a branded sealed pouch that is simple but effective. They are still sent in their discreet brown boxes, so discretion is assured. The AMBIT is a smaller dildo than the ADAM, so should appeal to a wider number of people. Whilst I personally enjoyed the ADAM – it’s slightly firmer texture and girth was a bit much for some. The AMBIT is sleek, sexy and slender… perfect for almost everyone.

The AMBIT stands at around 6.5 inches in height, with an insertable length of 6 inches. The shaft has an upward curve, allowing for G-Spot/P-Spot stimulation. The tip is tapered beautifully, with a circumference of 4.75 inches. The AMBIT narrows down to 4 inches just under the tip and then widens to 5 inches right at the base. The base is flared making it anal safe and suitable for use with a harness.

You can order your AMBIT in a multitude of colours. I asked for the Galaxy configuration, which is a little more expensive, but the results are jaw dropping. There are swirls of pink, purple, blue and black; along with little flecks of silver lustre. It really looks like I’m holding a nebula in my hands. Such a simple design but it’s pulled off so effectively. Photos really do not do this dildo justice.

In Use

The AMBIT not only succeeds in its visual appeal, but it also succeeds as an incredible dildo as well. Now I’m an experienced anal player, but as I’ve mentioned before, I don’t always want or need something big and thick. Sometimes I like things to just be a little softer and easier – and that’s where the AMBIT really shines.

The length is absolutely perfect. It’s long enough to hit the right spots, but thin enough that I don’t need to worry about too much preparation before hand. For absolute beginners, I would say some warm up/prep would still be necessary. The tip is almost 5 inches which to take ‘cold’ can be a tall order. But for those who are a little more experienced may find it’s not so much an issue. Especially as the silicone here feels far softer than on the ADAM – so it doesn’t feel nearly as intimidating.

With a small amount of lube, I found the AMBIT easy to insert, and it quickly finds its spot. The curve in the shaft is perfect for me. It found my prostate with almost criminal ease. The flared base was big enough that I could get a grip. Whilst lying on my back, I was able to thrust my way to orgasm with little effort on my part. Whilst it doesn’t leave me feeling ‘full’ like most other dildos – the overall stimulation of the prostate was enough for me.

It’s even better when you can use it hands free. Recently, LoveArc sent me through their new harness they’ve created for their self-propelled sex machine. This will allow you to now use dildos with flared bases. This opens up a whole new world of opportunity. I could now strap the AMBIT to the LoveArc and ride away with merry abandonment.

Getting myself into my favourite rodeo position, I could see-saw the LoveArc and the AMBIT would slide in and out and it felt wonderful. Honestly, for me – the dimensions are just perfect for my anatomy and I thoroughly enjoyed every ride. The one thing I have yet to try though, is to use it with our SpareParts Deuce harness – but I’m looking forward to giving it to the MR and giving him full control of that curve. But I know enough to say that I really like this dildo.

Clean-up and Maintenance

Like all of their toys, the AMBIT is made from 100% platinum silicone so is incredibly easy to look after. You can wash it with just soap and water, boil it, bleach it – stick it in the dishwasher… however you prefer to disinfect your sex toys – go for it. The AMBIT is perfectly safe. I’ve found their silicone to be mostly dust resistant although it still picks up the odd stray pug hair – so one thing I would LOVE to see Godemiche do is perhaps offer little storage bags. I can see it now, a little black drawstring bag with an embroidered G on it. (Hey, if you do this, I want a cut of the profits, alright? *wink wink*)

    Summary

Sometimes reviews are so incredibly easy to write, especially when the toy just ‘gets you’. The AMBIT doesn’t try to be anything ‘fancy’. It’s simplistic shape is actually a plus. It allows you to completely focus on the internal stimulation, rather than be distracted by a myriad of crazy textures. That said, that might not appeal to everyone and I get it.

It’s size and shape should make it appealing, along with the fact it’s not completely realistic. Sure, it’s phallic shaped, but it doesn’t look like a disembodied penis. I can see this being an excellent dildo for pegging (especially for beginners). It’s also a brilliant ‘warm up’ as well. For those days when I’m working up to something bigger, the AMBIT is a really good place to start.

But for me, one of the things I really like the most is that almost every dildo is a one-off work of art. They are all hand-poured so each one will be slightly unique. Sure, you can have the same colours, but there will always be something a little different. They even accept custom orders – just get in touch with them and they will see what they can do. I will definitely be getting in touch about the possibility of a custom ‘The Big Gay Review’ dildo!

    Where To Buy

I bought my AMBIT direct from Godemiche in the GALAXY colour configuration. It cost me £45.00. You can add a suction cup which takes it to £50.

Other AMBIT configurations are available, starting at £25.
