I love quirky. I love things that are kitsch and camp. I also love good quality silicone butt toys. Which is why this particular dildo had me all a tizzy when it arrived at my front door.

I was also genuinely quite excited to discover a manufacturer of hand-made, hand-poured silicone dildos based in the UK. Whilst I adore the likes of Tantus, because they are US based, it makes importing them pretty tricky and not a lot of UK sites host their products. So Godemiche have pretty scored a few brownie points already. They currently offer three products in a range of colours and finishes – the Peg, the Plug B and of course, the Adam which is the focus of this review.

When deciding what colour I wanted to review, this proved to be a lot trickier than I thought. So I simply said “I have an affinity for anything quirky… so surprise me!”. And surprise me they did.

The ADAM dildo was kindly sent to me free of charge in exchange for my honest review by Godemiche.

Update 14th August 2017: Unfortunately, some ongoing issues with Godemiche have forced me to withdraw my support for them, and I am currently not promoting them. For a full disclosure on why this is the case, please check out this post. For the sake of maintaining content, this review will remain here in it’s unedited form. The information in the aforementioned post has been written to allow you, the consumer, the ability to make a fully informed decision prior to any purchase.

First Impressions

The ADAM arrived in a plain brown box with just a small plastic bag to keep it clean during transit. Very little to throw away, which is always nice as I absolutely HATE having to through away packages plastered with half naked people, or very obvious plastic clamshells with an imprint of a penis in it. When I first saw the dildo inside, I must admit, I giggled like a school girl. Inside the box was the most lurid, and odd looking dildo I had ever seen – and I LOVED it.

Inside, was a ‘translucent’ dildo, that had cubes of different colour silicone dotted haphazardly throughout the entire shaft. There was pink, white, green and orange…It almost looked like someone had frozen some jelly tots or liquorice allsorts into the shape of a penis. It was undeniably quirky. It also seemed to generate a lot of love from the Twitterverse too:

Pretty safe to say we were on to a winner.

So, aside from the pretty colours, how does the ADAM shape up as a dildo? Well he’s chunky. He packs an insertable length of 6 inches, has a circumference of 6 inches around it’s widest point at the tip and a circumference of 5.25 inches along the shaft. The ADAM is 100% silicone and is very firm. It’s flexible but has little squish. The glans on the ADAM is beautiful – it’s wide, and has a visually pleasing aesthetic shape. There’s a firm ridge under the glans representing the skin fold and a pronounced frenulum. Aside from the quirky colour, it looks pretty realistic. The ADAM has a thick, firm flared base making it perfectly safe for anal use, and would be harness compatible as well.

In Use

I have to say, the ADAM took me a few tries to use. It’s definitely one of the more ‘firmer’ dildos I have tried, and because of that large, albeit beautiful head – it’s not something I would ever be able to tackle straight away (at least, not yet anyway). So a thorough warm up was needed in order to comfortably use the ADAM.

After getting myself nice and relaxed and ready to go, I applied a good coating of lube and got into my most comfortable position for tackling slightly larger toys (which is on my side, with my knees up to my chest – I find it helps ‘open’ me up better, which makes insertion easier). The tip of the ADAM is tapered so initial insertion is smooth – and then it widens out and with a little pressure and a couple of deep breathes, the head popped inside. My goodness, did this leave me feeling incredibly full.

As I slide the ADAM deeper, I could feel myself stretching but thanks to the shorter length, it wasn’t long before the flared base was resting against my cheeks. I lay there for a good 20 minutes, just revelling and absorbing that full, stretched feeling. When I was good and comfortable, I reached around, grabbed hold of the flared base and began to thrust.

The ADAM is a great little thruster – the smooth shaft glides easily, and the firm bulbous tip hits all the right spots internally as well. It squeezed an orgasm out of me with no problem. It left me breathless, satisfied and full. That’s pretty much all I ask for a fake cock. But whilst I do really like this dildo, I have a few ‘issues’ – although they are moderately minor.

In future versions of the ADAM (or in any other style of dildo Godemiche choose to make) – I would love to see a softer silicone, or even dual density. Whilst I am OK with the size, when used anally, that firm silicone can be a bit much after a while, and I only wished it was just a little bit softer. I also would love to see these incorporated with suction cups. I really do love to ride my dildos, especially if it means I dig out the LoveArc for a spin. I believe Godemiche are able to make ADAM’s with insertable bullet cavities, so I would imagine suction cups are possibly on the horizon (fingers crossed!).

Clean-up and Maintenance

If you are not new to the blog, then you should be familiar with the drill for cleaning and maintaining silicone – but for those who are visiting for the first time, I will recap. Silicone can be boiled, bleached (in a 10% bleach solution), sanitised in a dishwasher or just given a thorough wipe down with some water and a good quality anti-bacterial toy cleaner.

As for storage, they can be safely stored with other silicone toys without any issue. The silicone here is a little on the ‘draggier’ side, so has a slight roughness that makes it a complete dust and fur magnet – but keeping it in a little storage back (or a sock, if desperate) will help keep that to a minimum. With good care, a silicone dildo should last a very very long time.

Summary

I haven’t even covered the best part about the ADAM – most models are under £30!! That’s a good quality, hand-made silicone dildo for an absolute BARGAIN of a price. The particular model I have is a limited edition and usually only appears every now and again (when they have enough offcuts of silicone to produce the colourful cubes) – but there are plenty of other limited editions, glow in the dark, pearlescent and SO MANY MORE colours to choose from. You really need to just check out the site.

In the mean time, I do think the ADAM has high potential. It’s a good size which would appeal to most people, and in a range of colours and styles, so for those that like the shape but don’t want to realistic ‘flesh’ colour – there is something for everyone. Don’t see a colour you like? Get in touch and they will see what they can do. I’m excited to see some home grown talent, and if Godemiche can implement some new styles and look at softer silicone/dual density – they may well become my new favourite silicone dildo shop. Let’s see what 2016 has in store. I wish them all the best.
