You have no idea how long I have been waiting for We-Vibe to release a prostate specific toy. Years. And the day is finally here; the Vector has arrived and I have to say, it did not disappoint.

Ever since I first tried the eponymous ‘Tango‘ all those years ago, i’ve long felt that harnessing that power into an insertable prostate toy just made sense. No bullet vibrator has ever come close to matching the sheer rumbling power of the Tango. So when I first heard We-Vibe were looking into making insertable vibrators, I was excited. It’s taken us a little while to get here, but I am so excited that We-Vibe have finally launched a prostate toy.

When Lovehoney asked if I would review this for them, I jumped at the chance, especially as they have exclusivity on the Vector until July. So let’s find out how we got on with this brand new vibrator…

First Impressions

The packaging for the Vector is simple but elegant. We-Vibe packaging has also been on the more ‘tasteful’ side of things. Inside the box, you get the Vector, a remote control, a USB magnetic recharging cable, a little storage bag, instruction manual and a sample of the We-Vibe lubricant. The Vector is made from smooth silicone, and is completely waterproof for easy cleaning. The Vector takes around 90 minutes to charge, and gives you up to 2 hours of play time.

The Vector has an insertable length of 4 inches, and a circumference at it’s widest point of 3.5 inches. The neck of the Vector is adjustable as well, allowing you to get the perfect ‘fit’ when using the toy. There are 10 modes of vibration, and can be controlled either via the included remote control or by using the we-connect app (this also allows for the device to be controlled by someone else, anywhere in the world [that you have invited!]).

In Use

Right off the bat, the Vector is one of the easiest prostate massagers i’ve used in a long time. It’s narrow girth makes it super simple to insert, making it perfect for everyone, regardless of experience. Of course, as a beginner, I would still suggest taking it slow, but as it’s narrower than most standard prostate devices, it does make it a little easier. One of the best features of the Vector, in my opinion, is the adjustable neck. You can adjust the angle of the shaft, to allow for the best placement of the tip for your prostate. This does indeed mean a little trial and error is involved before you can really get down to play, but I think it’s totally worth it for the best experience.

In the past, other vibes have required me to essentially… manipulate myself… whether it’s through various clenching or grinding techniques in order to get the best contact. But with the Vector, I can adjust it, and it maintains that shape throughout use. This is a huge plus, and shows that brands realise that not every body is the same. Bravo, We-Vibe, Bravo!

A toy like this is best used hands free, and whilst you can operate the Vector from the simple button interface at the base, the button is a little stiff, and once inserted, it can make it a little tricky to change the settings. The remote control that comes with the Vector is easy to connect. Simply press and hold the button on the base for 5s. Once the Vector has buzzed twice, it’s ready to be paired. Press and hold any button on the remote for 5s, and then the Vector will buzz 3 times, to tell you that it is paired. You can now cycle through the 10 different vibration settings.

My only personal criticism, is the fact the remote is quite small, and with my big bear paws, it can be quite tricky to hold. So I decided to try out the We-Connect app. This, truthfully, is how you should be controlling your device. Not only is my phone easier to hold, you can really fine tune the different vibration settings AND create your own vibration patterns as well. I haven’t tried the ‘connect a lover’ feature; this will be something I will look at in the future and offer as an update (as it’s not really a feature I would generally use personally). But the interface is very intuitive; simply swipe across the screen to switch the vibration pattern, and swipe up and down to change intensity (this is something you cant do with the standard remote). OK, there is a bit more to it than that, but honestly, it’s so simple to use and the app talks you through every step.

So the all important question; how does it feel. In short, bloody amazing. The vibrations are lovely and rumbly, and whilst it’s not the most powerful prostate vibrator I have tried, it just seems to work. I guess this is down to the fact that you can adjust to get your ‘perfect’ fit, and it really does sit comfortably once inside, so I can lay back or sit and rock/grind and it always feels great. The different vibration settings offer a mixture of sensations, and give you the option of switching between the different motors. This is great for an edging session; you can start out with a nice perineum tickle before moving onto the internal vibrations.

I’ve been a little stressed lately, so the Vector hasn’t given me the elusive hands-free orgasm. But every orgasm had with the Vector has been strong and extremely satisfying. There is a part of me that wishes there was just a little bit more power; and maybe that’s something we could see in an updated version in the future? But for We-Vibes first attempt at a prostate massager, I think they’ve done pretty darn good, and thanks to it’s ease of use, I will be using this as often as I can!

Clean-up and Maintenance

The Vector is waterproof, so can be rinsed under the tap with a little bit of soap to clean (obviously ensure it’s thoroughly rinsed before putting it away/using it). The remote is not waterproof, so if you do need to clean this part, just a little wipe with a barely damp cloth should suffice. The included storage bag is a nice touch, and means you can keep it relatively dust (and in my case, pug hair) free in between uses. The magnetic charging cable also seems to have improved significantly over the original Tango charging connection; had absolutely no problems with the connection coming loose whenever I was charging.

Summary

What can I say? I absolutely enjoyed the Vector. I think this is a luxury vibrator that could appeal to those who have been a bit hesitant to drop the money on a prostate toy. The vibrations are good and strong with a nice level of rumble. The We-Connect app really opens the possibilities with the Vector, and look forward to exploring these in more detail with my husband.

It’s comfortable, light-weight but feels incredibly sturdy AND it’s quiet. Surprisingly quiet. The Vector ticks all of my boxes and more. If this is your first luxury vibrator purchase; you cannot for wrong here.
