These are some of the hardest reviews to write; when a product has different ‘styles’ and you need to be able to compare them. Because truthfully, when it comes to masturbators, once you’ve stuck your dick in, it’s very difficult to actually notice a difference.
But hey, it means I get to stick my dick in a lot of things, so I guess I shouldn’t complain really? Last year, TENGA kindly sent us the Orange Crash; the first of their newest additions to the ever growing ‘Flip’ family. The main difference from these versus the original Flips, is that these are slightly smaller, but have a unique dual texture (i’ll get to that later). A few months ago, I reached out to one of our biggest sponsors/supporters MEO to see if we could review some products for them; and I took this as an opportunity to review the Blue Rush variant. Will there be a noticeable difference? Will it still get my rocks off? Let’s find out…

First Impressions
The packaging for the Flip Orb Blue Rush is exactly the same as the Orange Crash. A simple plastic clamshell, and inside you get 2 sachets of the TENGA Hole Lotion. I’m always appreciative when Masturbators come with little samples of lube. I don’t always like the lube they provide; but hey, at least their trying!
Like the OC (as I will refer to the Orange Crash from now on), it’s the texture inside where we are seeing the biggest difference. Whilst the OC focused a more ‘lumpy’ and ‘bumpy’ style, the BR (Blue Rush) is more… wavy. To that extent, it almost looks like the BR has slightly more texture than the OC (check down towards the bottom of the post to see comparison photos; that should show you what I mean). The plastic nodules in the BR are slightly more spread out here, in a sort of ‘zig zag’ pattern. But again, compared to the textures from previous Flip models; it’s pretty simple.
In Use
The proof really is in the pudding; so it’s only fair we lube up and just see what it’s all about. When using the BR for the first time, I warmed myself up by taking a turn with the OC; just to remind myself of what it felt like. I loved the OC because of those nodules. The way they are laid out here, they sort of ‘hug’ your shaft as you slide in and out; a feeling thats intensified when you squeeze the sides to apply the suction. Now i’m sufficiently ‘aroused’, let’s move onto the BR.
As I slip inside, the sensation is pretty much the same. As I plunge deeper, the nodules start to do their thing, and this is where I notice their is a ‘slight’ difference in feeling. It’s subtle, I will give you that. But after switching between the OC and BR; I am confident their is a slight difference. And this is to do with the overall texture and the placement of the nodules. In the BR, as I mentioned a little earlier, it feels like there is just ‘more’ of the TPE texture, so this adds to the overall feeling of ‘tightness’. But where it really differs is how those plastic nodules hit. Because they are slightly more spaced out, compared to the OC; the sensation feels more global… like I can feel it over every part of my dick; where as in the OC, the nodules kind of only really get the sides.
It is a subtle difference at first, but after going back and switching between the OC and BR; I think i’m confident in saying that actually, I think I prefer the BR. But we are really splitting hairs here, because they both feel really good; and i’m really appreciating the balance of the classic, soft squishy sensation provided by the basic texture, and then the enhancement of that, with those colour nodules of pleasure. I don’t think i’ve ever seen anything like this in a masturbator before; and just further goes to show that TENGA, at least in my opinion, are definitely leading the way when it comes to masturbation innovation.
Clean-up and Maintenance
We’ve covered the cleaning process in our previous review; check it out here otherwise all i’m doing is repeating myself, and no-one wants that! My previous criticisms about storage and packaging apply here as well.
Summary
It doesn’t take a genius to work this out; but yes, the TENGA Flip Orb Blue Rush is a winner. The design, concept and execution is flawless. It looks great, feels great, and when I compare it to the Orange Crash, this one just wins it out BY A HAIR; and it’s just down to the placement of those nodules. But honestly; orange or blue… you are in for a great time and once again; i’m looking to TENGA to continue leading the way when it comes to penis pleasure.

The Lowdown | TENGA Flip Orb Blue Rush
Pros: Curvy case design makes it easy and comfortable to hold, firmer texture feels great wonderful. Just edges out the Orange Crash.
Cons: Just wish it had a cute storage case like the Flip Zero’s….
Bottom Line: Another fantastic addition to the range of TENGA masturbators. The difference between the OC and BR is subtle; but it’s worth it.
