I’m definitely a lazy masturbator. There, I’ve said it. And I’m not ashamed either. If I can find a way to make masturbation as effort free and pleasurable as possible, then I am all for it.

Last year, I was contacted by the people behind Liberator who asked if I would be interested in reviewing a few of their products for them. I knew very little about Liberator, other than the fact their products were highly coveted as ‘MUST HAVE’ accessories for the bedroom. One of the products offered for review was the ‘On A Mission’ Mount for Fleshlight/Fleshjack. It was a versatile piece of furniture that could be used a couple of ways: as a mount for Fleshlights to allow for ‘hands-free’ play OR as a spanking/position mount. It was a complete success.

But it’s not the only mount they do, so when they got in touch again, I knew I had to try out one of the others – and thus, I bring you onto the review for the ‘Top Dog’ Fleshlight Mount. The principal is the same as the OAM, however here, the shape and position allows for you to simulate ‘doggy’ or ‘from behind’ positions. Was it the dogs bollocks, or did it have me running for the hills with my tail between my legs? Well let’s find out…

First Impressions

If you’ve ever owned another piece of Liberator furniture, then you will know what to expect when you open it. If not, then you are really in for a treat. So the Liberator shapes are ‘vacuum’ packed – meaning they arrive compressed. When you free (Liberate?) them from their sealed bags, they begin to magically expand to their full size. It’s honestly impressive how they can squeeze something so large into a box so small. It’s so funny to watch it grow and expand, like it has a life of it’s own.

The box also contains tasteful erotic photography, as well as some ‘suggestion’ style photos, showing alternative ways that the Shape can be used. It would be nice if we could see a more diverse range of couples using them though. Inclusive etc… Inside is a care leaflet. As with other Liberator shapes, it’s designed to be wipe clean and durable, and there are 2 covers over the foam shape – both can be removed for cleaning. The Top Dog is around 13.5 inches high, 11 inches deep at it’s deepest point and around 12 inches wide. It’s relatively compact and would fit in the bottom of a wardrobe with ease.

In Use

So going back to my opening paragraph, I am definitely a lazy masturbator. What I liked about the OAM was the fact I could put any Fleshjack I wanted in there, and with minimal effort, slide inside and hump my way to orgasm. It also provides some interesting opportunities for ‘threesomes’ where one of us can be laying on the mount, enjoying the Fleshjack, whilst also enjoying some butt fun. I had wondered with the Top Dog would allow for similar sorts of encounters. There was only one way to find out.

But first, the plan was to use it the way it was intended. So with the Mount sat comfortably on the bed, and a porn parody of Game of Thrones (Yes, it was called Gay of Thrones) on in the background, I reached into my humongous trunk of masturbators and pulled out a Fleshjack at random (otherwise known as the BEST LUCKY DIP EVER). I carefully (and with a little bit of force) pushed the Fleshjack into the cavity on the mount. It helps to keep the lid of the Fleshjack on, and ‘screw’ it into the hole. It creates a nice snug fit once inside.

I lubed up both the Fleshjack and myself and then got into position. I’m about 6’2 in height, so when I was in a kneeling position, the Fleshjack was positioned about an inch below where my penis was. Widening the legs slightly created the perfect angle. I slipped inside. The Fleshjack felt good, and it was nice to be able to kneel there and thrust back and forth. As the movie moved on, and the action got hotter and more intense, so did my thrusting. And at this point, I needed a bit more balance, so I grabbed the mount like I was grabbing some hips and I leant into it. And then this is where it went a little wrong, but in hilarious fashion.

The mount is relatively firm, but given enough force and weight, it will just crumple. Combined with the relative softness of the mattress, all that happened was that I fell face first into the mattress. I wasn’t expecting it to ‘give’ out so easily. As I recovered and repositioned, I had to be very careful how I was leaning, otherwise I would be eating mattress again (and no, that’s not a euphemism). When used on a slightly ‘firmer’ surface, such as the floor, it took a little more pressure for it to collapse, but it was still possible. Not so good for my knees either (so put a pillow down!).

However, despite that when you can find a good rhythm and a position that doesn’t cause it to collapse under your weight, it was pretty good. Obviously, those who don’t happen to carry a few extra stone may not have that issue – but I still think it’s worth mentioning.

Other suggestions for using the Mount include using it as a rest during intercourse (doggy style) of course – which if you are very light and delicate, creates a good support for the hips and buttocks, allowing for easy penetration – however when things get heated and carried away, then the whole thing just collapses and your both lying face first in a collapsed, sweaty heap. It’s magical. It’s also possible to have one of your enjoying the mount, whilst someone penetrates you from behind, but it’s slightly more awkward than it is with the OAM mount – especially if you are taller or shorter than the other.

It definitely excels as a mount for a Fleshlight/Fleshjack first and foremost. The actual size of the mount works quite well, it does feel like you are holding onto a waist/hips as you slide in and out. As for the other suggested uses, well it’s possible but this is where the size and the shape of the mount let it down – it’s just not sturdy enough for anything too vigorous. Which is a shame, but at the same time, I have other shapes and mounts for that, so it’s not the end of the world.

Clean-up and Maintenance

The outer cover is made from ‘Machine Washable Pleather’ so once you are finished, dependent on how much mess you’ve made, you can either chuck it in the washing machine or wipe it down with a damp cloth. If you do choose to wash it, it must be on a cold wash and tumble dry on a very low heat. The underlying line is made from polyester and is designed to repel water, and can be just wiped clean if it’s gotten a bit dirty.

You do need to think about storage before you grab any of these items, because once they are unpacked, you can shrink them again. For us, the Top Dog is small enough to fit in the bottom of one of our wardrobes. Of course, if you don’t need to hide it, then feel free to leave it lying around wherever you like!

Summary

So, compared to the OAM mount, it’s OK. I definitely prefer the ‘missionary’ style position and when using it for other positions, its longer shape creates a slightly more stable surface. Plus it’s so much easier to incorporate the ‘threesome’ element in.

But all is not lost with the Top Dog. It does replicate the ‘doggy style’ position very well, and it is much smaller and easier to store. It’s also not cheap either – it retails for around £135. Is it value for money? Well, in this instance, I think it is a little over-priced, as it’s not quite as versatile as the OAM mount. When choosing between the two, it really is going to come down to your preference of position. It will get used again, but it won’t be my first choice.
