Following up from our recent review of our budget masturbator sent to us by Bondara, I present to you our new review for their Smooth Silicone Prostate Vibe. We’ve reviewed a few prostate massagers now, but I realise I haven’t focused on nearly enough for those who are on a tighter budget.
But here we are – I present to you a silicone, rechargeable prostate toy for under £30. This toy was sent to me by Bondara free of charge, in exchange for my honest review.
First Impressions
The Smooth Silicone Prostate Vibe arrives in a nice little box which features just the company logo, so it’s very discreet. As you lift off the lid, there’s just the vibe resting in a plain white plastic tray. Underneath that is the USB recharger cable.
The vibe itself is made from ABS plastic coated in a soft, silky silicone. The toy contains to vibrating motors – one in the tip and one in the base. The base also features a small finger loop to assist with insertion. The vibe has an insertable length of 3.75 inches and a circumference of 3.4 inches around it’s widest point.
The Vibe is the perfect size for beginners, is lightweight and waterproof. The vibe has 8 different speeds and functions. The motors produce mildly rumbly vibrations.
In Use
So let me just preface this by saying that this particular toy was not for me – but I don’t think it’s a bad toy by any stretch of the imagination – for those looking for prostate vibes on a budget, this could be a good place to start – but i’ll explain as I go on.
As i’ve been experimenting anally for a little while now, i’ve become accustomed to certain sensations and sizes, and unfortunately, as someone who has enjoyed the likes of the Rosa and the REVO, this particular toy felt underwhelming and left me craving a lot more. At least, when it came to prostate stimulation anyway.
For me, the probe only just grazed the prostate, no matter what position I got myself into. This might have been a little better had the neck of the vibe been a bit more flexible, however as it’s solid, I just found it didn’t quite hit the spot.
Combined with the very thin shaft, it didn’t give me that nice, full feeling that I know and enjoy, so for me, as a prostate toy – it just didn’t work. But as I said, it wasn’t all completely lost on me. If you read my last review for the Masturbation Cup, I used the vibe during a session – and the vibrations provided were just enough to help tip me over the edge.
Clean-up and Maintenance
The vibe is completely waterproof, so clean-up is as easy as rinsing under the tap with some good toy cleaner. As for storage, I’ve kept mine in the box it came with. The silicone is ever so slightly a dust magnet, so if you don’t decide to keep hold of the box, then popping it in a little storage bag would be a good idea. It’s a shame that it doesn’t come with a storage bag.
Summary
So I really do like this vibe, but NOT as a prostate toy. For me, it was just not long enough, nor was it flexible enough – and it’s size certainly left me wanting more. However, as just an ‘anal’ vibrator that I can use during a masturbation session, it certainly did kick things up a notch, and when combined with the masturbator cup, it all helped me reach a pretty quick and decent orgasm.
For those who are looking for a body-safe, rechargeable anal toy, and haven’t experimented with much before, then this might be better suited to you – however for us more seasoned pros, it may leave a little more to be desired.
