I don’t need to go on about how much we adore TENGA products in this house; but it’s been over 5 years since our last experience with the FLEX and just recently, two new models were released. If you want to catch up to speed with how we got on the last time, you can check out the original review. For the purposes of today’s review; we are looking at the TENGA Flex Bubbly Blue version. So let’s get straight into it.

First Impressions

Not much has changed in 5 years; the packaging has had a little bit of an upgrade but the overall design and features of the FLEX remain the same. The case has a soft, spiralled design – as you stroke with the FLEX, the spiral tightens or loosens with each thrust – creating a unique sensation. You can also squeeze the case as well, to further enhance the sensation. The soft elastomer sleeve features a tight spiralled design, with lots of nodules and bumps for texture. It’s a simple design and concept, and yet it still maintains an air of elegance. Which is why I will forever (generally) adore what TENGA do. I also appreciate the inclusion of the little sachet of lube. I personally don’t use it as I find it a little too sticky but for when you are in a pinch; it’s alright. But enough of that, what does it feel like?

In Use

Well, for myself – bloody marvellous. With a good, generous squirting of my current favourite lube, I eagerly slipped my dick inside. It’s certainly a snug fit, and I could definitely feel it squeezing every inch of my shaft as I worked my way inside. Gently squeezing the case, this creates a delicious bit of suction that draws me in deeper. I lay there in absolute bliss as the FLEX stroked and caressed me. With my eyes closed, it sort of felt like I was slipping into a tight butt; squeezing gently simulates a little clench and the tightness is definitely there.

However, as you begin to thrust, and the spirals begin to contract and expand and do their thing… it starts to feel a little more like a GOOD deep throat blow job. With a fast hand, the suction it creates is exquisite and it didn’t take long for me to achieve a very hearty orgasm. One of those ones that leaves you properly red-faced and panting like an over-heated pug. And each session with the FLEX has been the same. I dig it. The other half however…

I consider myself to be of average cock size; the MR is a little thicker than myself by a good .75 of an inch. Maybe even a whole one. I know with these tighter sleeves, I always go slightly over-board with the lube, just to ensure it’s comfortable for him. Slipping the end over his cock, I could definitely see right away that we were going to be met with more resistance then the rebel alliance. Carefully sliding the sleeve down further, we eventually got him all inside. He began to stroke but I could see from the look on his face, he just wasn’t comfortable. Even with the extra lube inside, he just found that whilst he could stroke with it (just) it was a little too tight and he found it became more painful than pleasurable after a few strokes. A shame, but this is why we do this!

Clean-up and Maintenance

The FLEX can be completely disassembled for cleaning; although like before – once the sleeve is removed, it is a bit of a bugger getting it back in again. Once again, the lid can double up as a drying stand for the sleeve. I’ve also learnt it’s much quicker to dry if you leave it out of the case. But the stand does a decent job of letting all that excess moisture escape. The spiralled case is a complete lube trap so be sure to make sure you give it a thorough clean in-between those ridges!

Summary

Much like the last time, we’ve got a mixed bag of opinions. I personally found the TENGA Flex Bubbly Blue to be an absolute delight; the suction and texture were on point; it really did feel very good. But I can understand why it might not be appropriate for those who are fairly girthy. If you have a circumference of more than 6 inches, personally I think you’d enjoy the Bobble a lot more. At least you are not confined by the case and it will stretch to match your size.

But for those of us who sit in the ‘average’ category of 5.75 inches or less… then I think you’ll find the Bubbly Blue an explosive treat! Out of the three FLEX sleeves we have tried, this one is my absolute favourite and I can’t wait to use it again. In fact… I’ll be right back.
