MEO ANALTOTAL Rimming Lube

This isn’t the review I had planned for today, but an ever-changing work schedule meant I’ve had to switch a few things around in order to ensure I get all the content out I need before the end of the year; so it’s just a short and sweet one today!

It’s been quite a while since we reviewed a lubricant on the blog; and in my most recent box of goodies from the lovely people over at MEO, they were kind enough to include some lubes for me and I thought; what the hell! Let’s review one for the blog. Even if it is just to vary up the content a little bit. Included was another bottle of the delightfully named ‘Mancunt‘ lube of which we have previously reviewed, a bottle of AQUAMEO water-based lube and then this little bottle we are looking at today; ANALTOTAL Rimming Lube (Rim, Suck and FUCK with ANALTOTAL is the little tagline). First Impressions

The bottle is classic MEO styling; it’s a sleek black bottle with a flip-top lid that dispenses the lube through a little tiny hole in the top. You get 100ml in the bottle, and here is what MEO say about the lube:

The first lube that´s as much of an aphroisiac as it is tasty – including during anal! Taste and consistency are perfectly balanced to create a lube that will make you unable to stop your tongue licking and your lips smacking. Because of its characteristics ANALTOTAL is one of the best lubrication gels you could possibly use for blowjobs, rimming and good old fashioned fucking!

Ingredients (INCI): Glycerin, Aqua (Water), HydroxyPropyl Guar, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, Sodium Saccharin, Citric Acid, Aroma (Flavour)

Immediately, from the ingredients list; I can already expect a lubricant that gets a little sticky after use, and certainly is not recommended for anyone with a glycerine sensitivity (I know most folks with vagina’s tend to avoid glycerine). It’s not so much a concern for me but just something to near in mind.

In Use

Solo / Masturbation

With any lubricant, I do want to see how well it holds up as a masturbation aid; and that’s where I started. The lube is far runnier than I was expecting, so when applying it, it was quite easy to make a mess and spill it everywhere. A ‘little at a time’ approach is best suited here. Once applied, momentarily there is a nice amount of slip but I noticed it did ‘dry out’ very quickly. Surprisingly, not with an overly sticky finish; it’s more… I can’t really describe it. It’s sort of like I’ve just applied a really rich moisturiser; like I can ‘feel’ it on my hands; but it’s not sticky. It feels sort of smooth. Not horrible; but it definitely doesn’t last as long as I would like, which means I already know where this is heading…

With Toys / Intercourse

The very runny nature of the lube does make it difficult to apply lube to insertable toys and/or insertable body parts. Interestingly, once the lube is used anally; it does seem to stay a little slippery for longer; but given how we typically tend to use more hybrid lubes for anal play; this just wasn’t really doing it for me. Reapplication was often, and frustratingly messy.

Rimming/Oral

At last, the reason the lube exists; the main idea behind the lube is to enhance rimming for both the giver and receiver! For the one giving; the lube has a very delicate sweet flavour too it; it’s supposed to be vanilla, the fragrance of which is supposed to mimic ‘pheromones’ which are supposed to arouse you even more. I can’t really speak for that claim BUT this lube does make rimming a slightly more enjoyable experience.

The sweet flavour is quite subtle, but noticeable and it didn’t leave a nasty after-taste. When drizzled over a cock; you can suck and suck and it doesn’t feel like you have slobbered on a tube of moisturiser. I think this is where the thin consistency really works well for it. My tongue is able to glide effortlessly around his hole, so he can giggle and squirm in delight.

Summary

Despite claiming to be perfect for anal and vaginal intercourse; I definitely think this is a lube best left for oral sex (cock and arse). It just dries out too quickly as a masturbation/sex lube BUT the consistency and flavour do a wonderful job of making oral sex a little bit more interesting. Basically, dab it anywhere you want to have some oral fun – a little drop on the nipples also works wonders.
