We’re continuing our hunt for toys that will help you bust your nut, rather than your wallet. Today, we’re trying out a stroker from a new brand I’d personally never heard of before; however when I saw how affordable and fun their products looked – I knew I had to give them a try.

The biggest surprise was finding out that ROMP Toys are actually owned and operated by Lovehoney. And that they’ve actually been around for 3 years. How on earth did I miss that?! With the ROMP brand, they aim to to make satisfaction more affordable for everyone. With a decent selection of products ranging from plugs to strokers, wand vibrators and suction toys; ROMP caters to every body. And their fun use of colour is sure to brighten up anyones toy chest. The first ROMP toy that we are trying out is the Dash; a manual stroker that claims to offer strong suction and great sensation for a wallet friendly price. So let’s see what it’s all about…

First Impressions

The Dash is a surprisingly weighty affair. It has a modern fun design and from the outside; it doesn’t really look like a sex toy. I could have this standing out and from a distance; no-one would clock it’s a sex toy. I don’t know what you *might* mistake it for; but a pleasure sleeve for your penis probably not the first thing that would spring to mind. Until you look closely and see the name ‘ROMP’ on the case; then that might give some folks a clue. Inside the box, you’ll get the Dash, a quick start guide and a sheet of cute little sexy stickers; which I imagine you could totally use to decorate the outside of your Dash; if you so wished. For me, I might save them to stick on my laptop. Just to add a touch of “je ne sais quoi“.

The sleeve is made from classic soft and squishy TPE. It has a relatively ‘neutral’ opening; it could kind of look like a vulva. But it could also just as easily be a butt; or maybe a mouth. And that’s a good thing. I, for one, will always praise anyone who products gender neutral strokers. Don’t get me wrong; I think vulvas and butts and mouths have their place. But it’s always nice and refreshing to see toys like this. It’s one of the many reasons why I adore TENGA. The sleeve can be removed for easy cleaning and their is a twist cap at the end to adjust the suction. It feels really sturdy and very well made.

In Use

I was genuinely very excited to try this; and I can tell you right now – the Dash did not disappoint. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every session with this little stroker. Now, don’t get me wrong – there is nothing new or revolutionary here. Manual strokers typically always tend to feel similar. But it’s always exciting when you can find something like this that feels great and isn’t going to break the bank. So let’s get into it… literally.

The sleeve is quite detailed inside; lots of lumps, bumps and wavy bits. There’s not a standard texture that follows the entire length of the canal. The top part of the canal features bumps arranged in a spiral pattern (which I would imagine is designed to help enhance the ‘suction’ that the Dash creates. As you get further down, there are little clumps of various ridges and bumps. They aren’t overly pronounced but the canal is fairly tight so you can definitely feel them. After sliding my finger inside and feeling how tight it was, I had to just grab some lube and slip my dick inside.

I can safely say the Dash does indeed have an incredible level of natural suction. As I slowly began to penetrate the canal; I could feel the squishy TPE hugging my member tightly. It was carefully pulling me in deeper and it wasn’t letting go. As I slowly begun to stroke, I realised I wasn’t going to be able to go too fast – but that didn’t matter. The way it was clinging to me, it wasn’t going to take much effort to blow my load. And with that, my first session was over pretty quickly.

The next time I took the Dash out, I played around with the suction control cap. Once you loosen it, you can certainly thrust with more haste; and you can feel a little more of the texture. The lid does rattle a little if you don’t hold on to it; and personally I found it a little distracting. However careful placement of my grip meant I could hold onto it, and stop it from making a noise. There can be a little bit of a squelching noise but that is totally common with strokers like this.

Clean-up and Maintenance

The sleeve of the Dash removes from the case quite easily. A good rinse with some warm soapy water is enough; and the sleeve has enough stretch and give that you can turn it inside out easily to ensure all fluids are fully removed. As with all TPE sleeves; you’ll want to ensure it’s completely dry before storying; and it’s definitely recommended to powder the sleeve to help keep it in top condition. You can of course skip this part, if you really wish – it just means the sleeve will be quite sticky and tacky. And that can really attract the dust and fuzz. But hey, you do you. No judgement here, babes.

Summary

Sometimes, you just want a simple and uncomplicated stroker; and the Dash is everything I could ask for in this scenario. It’s design is simple but feels great. It’s quick and easy to clean and requires only a little maintenance. As I said earlier; it’s not revolutionary by any means. There are loads of strokers out there and it can be quite difficult to really set yourself apart from the crowd. However I think was I like most about the Dash is that actually; it looks and feels like a pretty decent high-end stroker. We’re talking like ‘Fleshjack’ quality – but for like, half the price of one of those.

Pleasure should be accessible to more people, and ‘cheaper’ toys can still provide incredible amounts of joy and pleasure. ROMP have succeeded well in creating a stroker that not only feels good, and looks good; but its wallet friendly price means more folks can get to experience sexual bliss; and that my friends is the ultimate act of self care. I honestly can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like about the Dash. It does exactly what I need a stroker to do, and it does it well.
