I will admit – I originally requested this item from sextoys.co.uk based on the name of the product. It made me laugh.

The last time that happened was when I reviewed the Screaming O ‘Paco’s Taco‘ stroker last year. And that product turned out to be pretty good, for what it was. So part of me hoped that this would provide a similar reaction. I also thought it would be a great way to indulge in a little… cum play…. I think that’s what you could call it.

The ‘Nut Butter’ is supposed to be used with Doc Johnson’s line of ‘squirting’ dildos – sadly, I don’t have one of those (and most likely never well as they are not made from silicone – and using it with a condom kind of negates the point of it in the first place…) but the label said it was a ‘Hybrid Glide’ and was suitable for all types of play. So that is what I would focus on. So how did it get on? Let’s find out…

First Impressions

Considering the name of the product, it arrives in a fairly under-stated bottle. There is 118ml of nut butter in the bottle. On the side, it provides the perfect ‘concocktion’ for using the lube within the squirting dildo (1 part nut butter mixed with 1 part water). I tried this recipe just to see what it would look like, and I was surprised at how watery it was. Now I assumed this was deliberate otherwise it may not be able to go through the tube in the dildo – but at this point, it wasn’t looking terribly realistic.

Doc Johnson label this as a hybrid glide – by looking at the ingredients, I believe it is a water-based/silicone hybrid. When poured out of the bottle, it has a thicker consistency then when mixed with water, but it was still quite runny. It still didn’t feel overly realistic – so already I was kind of feeling pretty bummed out that this wasn’t going to be a great experience.

In Use

Never one to be deterred, I decided to give it a try as just a standard ‘lube’. When used during a regular masturbation session, the nut butter provided a decent amount of slickness, but it did dry out a lot quicker than I would have expected – I had to re-apply after only 5 minutes – which is unusual for something that’s supposed to be a hybrid lube. I could already see this being a problem if I was to use it during intercourse – having it dry out during sex is bad enough, but to have it dry out so quickly – that’s not cute.

When used with strokers, again, the lube seemed to function fairly satisfactorily – and in this instance, it took a little bit longer for it to dry out. Admittedly, seeing little white globs of lube around the opening to the various ass-shaped masturbators I have was a bit of a turn on (and I guess that’s where cum play can be somewhat appealing). But my biggest problem with the lube came when using it with anal toys.

Now typically, I wouldn’t recommend using a silicone lube with silicone toys – however as this was a hybrid, I thought I would at least give it a try. A patch test on a ‘cheaper’ silicone dildo seemed to react OK (and it was cleaned thoroughly afterwards) and still no problem. But this was where I noticed a huge problem. When I tried to place the nut butter onto the surface of the silicone dildo – it just beaded and dripped straight off. It was like watching the T-1000 drip off this big silicone cock.

I got the same reaction when I tried using it with glass or metal based toys – it just beaded and dripped straight off. I placed some lube in my hand and tried to slather it on to the surface of the toy that way – and it still ended up just beading, and it never felt slick enough for me to use. So sadly, I had to abandon trying the lube that way as I knew it wasn’t going to be safe or comfortable.

Summary

So what would you actually use this for? As a lube, it clearly fails on almost every aspect of what you expect a lube to do. Clearly, it’s better suited as a cum substitute for ejaculation and bukkake fantasies. Even then, I’m concerned that when following the recipe on the side of the label for their ‘perfect’ cum – it’s still highly unrealistic and just far too watery – so it’s going to make one hell of a mess. On the plus side, it hasn’t left any tell-tale stains, unlike the real stuff – so I dunno, I guess that’s a plus?

To be honest, I think I’ll just stick to stuff like Liquid Silk – that looks far more like cum than this does – and it actually works incredibly well as a lubricant too!
