I had a lock at them and I have to admit, those sorts of toys just aren’t my cup of tea any more. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older and my tastes and quirks are changing. I don’t know. But whilst I was browsing their catalogue, I saw two cock toys that piqued my interest. The first was The Clawer. A vibrating and clamping device that looked both terrifying but also incredibly interesting. First Impressions

The packaging is very simple; it’s giving drop-shipped but that’s not the be all and end all. Inside is your Locks, a charging cable and an instruction manual. Locks rechargeable and fully waterproof for realistic aquatic fun. It takes around 80 mins to charge doe up to 45 mins of play time. The design is simple – it vibrates whilst the tentacles wrap around your shaft. In theory this should send waves of pleasure running through your member. Right?

In Use

When it comes to this toy, it’s not amazing. I don’t think it’s a bad product per se – but I think you need to lower your expectations and see this as more of a build-up toy, rather than something you might reach for, for the main event. Let’s get the positives out of the way. The design is surprisingly cute. It’s a gorgeous colour and the detailing on it is spot on. If it wasn’t for the button and the trademark logo, it does look like something you might see floating around in the deep ocean somewhere.

It’s magnetically charged which is a bit fiddly if you don’t quite get the right angle. However it’s one touch operation makes it easy to hold and operate during use. Just slip your penis into its tentacles and turn it on. This is where it started to fall apart for me. Whilst the sensation was… nice… it just wasn’t anywhere near strong enough. The vibrations are quite shallow and pin-point which just didn’t have me curling my toes the way I had hoped it might.

So using this as a masturbator is a bit of a non-starter for me. However, as a foreplay device or something to use during oral sex maybe – that’s where it starts to have a little bit more value. The angle of the tentacles surrounds my nipples almost perfectly and that was a delightful sensation. But on my cock, it just left me feeling frustrated and desperate for more. But those tentacles do know how to tickle a taint or two so maybe just throw caution to the wind and experiment with what feels good for you.

Clean-up and Maintenance

As I previously mentioned, Locks is fully waterproof so clean-up is incredibly easy. Just rinse, wipe and let it dry. Although as there are lots of little crevices and details, you’ll definitely want to spend a bit of time making sure you get into all those little nooks ands crannies.

Summary

Over the course of writing this review and going back in for re-testing; I think this is an interesting idea, and I think there will be plenty of folks out there who don’t require deep and bold sensations from their toys. This is a perfectly pleasant foreplay toy where there are plenty of applicationa making it suitable for almost any couple and genital configuration.

For me, I was really hoping I could stick this on my dick, lay back and have some toe-curling orgasms. Unfortunately this didn’t deliver on that front which is a shame; but perhaps this is a lesson for me to manage my expectations better. In its defence it’s a pretty cheap and affordable toy – so maybe that should have tipped me off.
