Admittedly, Lube is not something I ever really give a lot of thought about when considering reviews for the blog – but in reality, Lube is just as important when it comes to sex, masturbation and toy play.

So from here on, I am going to make a concerted effort to review more lubes for you all – and we’re starting with a good one for those of you who enjoy anal stimulation.

Last year, we reviewed the GiveLube Aqua water-based lube, and it was a resounding success – so when I saw that they had created a brand new super-thick anal lube, I was very keen to give it a try, and Sextoys.co.uk followed through and sent me a bottle to review for them. So let’s cut to the chase and get straight on with it.

First Impressions

The bottle is tastefully presented and feels extremely masculine – almost like can of shaving cream. It has a pump nozzle for easy dispensation (which is excellent when you have slippery fingers). The lube is a Silicone/Water-based hybrid which is (according to the bottle) safe to use with sex toys (even silicone) and during intercourse. The lube contains glycerine, so I would definitely stick to using this anally (it’s texture is far too thick for anything else, anyway). The lube is odour-free and doesn’t really have a ‘taste’.

In Use

When dispensing the lube, I was impressed with how thick the lubricant was. Aside from the can looking like a can of shaving cream, the lubricant itself looked like shaving cream. It has a creamy white consistency and initially, feels almost buttery when first applied. In order to get the best out of it, you need to ‘work’ it before you actually jump in and start inserting toys/penises anywhere. When you first apply the lube to the penis/toy, it just looks all sticky and, I have to admit, not very arousing.

But as you ‘warm’ the lube up, it gets a little thinner, and suddenly it’s delightfully slick and slippery. It’s thicker consistency makes it an absolute dream to apply – it goes exactly where it needs to, and doesn’t drip off. When it comes to inserting toys, the thicker consistency almost acts like a small ‘cushion’ (I can’t think of a better word) which makes penetration just ever so slightly softer.

Re-application is inevitable with lubes, and this one was no exception – however, because of it’s thicker consistency, I was able to go a little longer before I felt I needed to reapply – there was a good 40 minute run using just 2 pumps of lube.

The label states it can be used with silicone toys, and I have tested it with several toys from Tantus, Fleshjack and Fun Factory – and so far, there have been no problems. The only downside with this lubricant is that it does leave a fairly sticky residue afterwards, it almost feels greasy. It does wash off very easily though (which is not something I can say about regular silicone lube).

Summary

This review is short and sweet, as there isn’t really that much to say about the lube. It works well with toys and during intercourse, provides a nice, soft slipperiness to make penetration smoother and more comfortable, and it lasts a decent while before I feel the need to reapply. The only issue (and even then, it’s not really a massive issue) is the fact it does leave me feeling sticky after use (but lets be honest, after a really good session, who isn’t left feeling sticky all over anyway?). As anal lubricants go, it’s one of the best I have tried so far – and if you are looking for a really thick lube, then this is probably right up your alley (double entendre implied).

If you would like to order some of this lube, order it now from sextoys.co.uk for £14.95 for 200ml.
