We’ve finally made it to the end of our Lumunu reviews. And today, we get to finish on a little bit of a high note.

When I was browsing their website for items I thought might be worth testing, I kept looking at this vibrator. Sure, it’s actually designed for ladies G-Spots – but the curve in that shaft, and tapered tip was begging for anal exploration – and most G-Spot toys are shaped perfectly for prostate stimulation as well.

So I added this one to my list, and hoped for the best. I later discovered that this looks awfully similar to another vibrator that’s already in existence. I hoped that this toy was going to be more than just a LELO knock off. When it arrived, I hurried to get it onto charge. So, did it hit the spot, or was this another case of style over substance?

First Impressions

Out of all the products I received for review, this one I feel, earns the title of ‘deluxe’. It’s packaged very similar to the Deluxe Butt Plug we reviewed, but when you open the lid, you are greeted by a toy that does indeed look ever so slightly luxury.

Inside the box, you get a nice storage bag, sachet of lube, a care card and a USB cable (as thankfully, this toy is USB rechargeable). I chose this vibrator in Black, although it’s available in several different colours (Purple, Red, Blue and Pink).

The Vibrator has a total length of 10 inches, with an insertable length of about 5.5 inches. It has a circumference of 4.5 inches around it’s widest point, and is more ‘oval’ shaped – it has a slightly flatter shaft. I was a little concerned after my recent experiences with a particular Icicles toy, but as this is coated in smooth silicone, rather than being textured, I figured we’d be alright.

As I mentioned earlier, the toy is rechargeable, and it takes around about 2-3 hours to charge to full. Now, according to the website, a full charge should see 7 hours of play time. I haven’t been able to verify, but I’ve had it running for well over an hour and it’s still going strong.

There are 6 different patterns, which each have 6 different levels of intensity. The first 2 patterns are ‘constant’ where the other 4 are a mixture of pulses and waves. There are 2 motors in this toy – one in the tip of the shaft, and the other is in a raised bump towards the bottom of the shaft – this is where it would provide external clitoral stimulation (and where I had hoped it would provided external perineal stimulation).

In Use

When you first receive the toy, it is travel locked – a handy feature which means if you decide to take your vibrator away with you, it won’t switch on whilst in your luggage. To unlock, you simply press and hold the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on the base. A red light will indicate you were successful. To then turn the vibrator on, simply press the (+) button and it will turn on to it’s first setting. Subsequent presses will increase intensity whist the (-) button will decrease. In the middle is the function button. Pressing this will cycle through the different patterns.

The first setting was quite a high pitched buzz, focused down towards the clitoral hump. I was a little disappointed with this – but I also wasn’t terribly surprised – as the other vibrators I had for testing, were also very ‘buzzy’. When I switched it on to pattern no.2, I was completely shocked. The tip of the shaft buzzed into life, and this was a much deeper, rumblier vibration – nothing like the previous setting. Oh my, I thought to myself. This might be able to redeem itself after all…

All subsequent settings also seemed to rely on slightly deeper vibrations. This boded very well for my testing sessions. So as soon as I was able to, I shut myself away from the dog, and gave my self some time to explore. Now, due to the slightly flatter nature of the shaft, insertion was a little tricky from a cold start. My ass just isn’t used to shapes quite like that (or maybe it’s still having Icicles flashbacks – I don’t know). But after getting myself warmed up with a small dildo, I was able to slide this in really easy. The silicone coating is soft, but it’s every so slightly ‘draggy’ – so you will definitely want to ensure you use a good coating of lube to make it easier.

After sliding it all the way in, the tip of the vibrator came into contact with my prostate, and the ‘clitoral’ hump was now pressed firmly against my knot – I knew it was going to be too much to ask for perineal stimulation from this – but it was worth a shot. As I got myself comfortable, I was able to lie on my back with slot my finger through the loop in the base so I could access the controls and also thrust, should the mood take me.

As the vibrator buzzed into life, as I expected, the first setting didn’t really do much for me. Whilst I could feel vibrations ever so slightly in the tip, it was my hole that was getting all the vibrations, and it was the tickly, buzzy kind – so I hastily moved on to setting 2 – the one that caught me by surprise. As the tip sprang into life, I jumped a little, as my prostate was now buzzing with excitement. As I took it up to the highest intensity, a wave of calm washed over me, and I just lay there carefully – just enjoying the vibrations as they teased and stimulated. I moved on to pattern three, and that’s where things got really interesting.

The vibrator was now pulsing between the 2 motors – the deep rumbly vibrations in the tip which were working my prostate over, and the slightly higher-pitched buzz down by my ass hole. As I lay there, I felt myself go from flaccid to hard in the blink of an eye. The weaker vibrations on their own would never have done anything for me, but with the added internal vibrations that were deeper, it was really working for me and before I knew it, I was orgasming, and it was heavy. I couldn’t believe this cheap little vibrator had done what it had, and I thought surely it must have been a fluke – but each subsequent test as yielded pretty much the same results. OK, Lumunu, there’s some life in you yet.

Clean-up and Maintenance

The vibrator is waterproof (tested and verified) so a good rinse with water and toy cleaner is all that’s needed to get this nice and sparkly again. You can then either store it back in it’s box, or use the provided storage bag to keep it safe and free from dust.

Summary

OK, so it’s not a power-house – it’s certainly not going to match the power of things like the Rosa or the Revo (I’m not sure anything ever will) – but it’s got enough power to do the job well, and I have to say, I was quite surprised that it had the power it did – considering all other vibes I’ve tried have just been so weak and don’t hit the spot. I can’t tell you if it would actually work well as a G-Spot vibrator – but I can tell you, as a Prostate Vibrator, it does the job and does it with minimal fuss and effort. This has opened up my eyes to the potential of all the other vibrators I’ve missed out on, just because they are marketed towards women. It’s going to be fun exploring. The shape might take a little bit of getting used to, but I got to say, at no point did I ever find it uncomfortable.
