Butt Plugs! Now that i’ve gotten your attention; it’s time to talk about… well, butt plugs! Or at the very least, a very specific butt plug that has TOTALLY rocked my world. And I honestly never thought I would say that about a plug but here we are… 2020 has been a year of surprise (among other things).

You are reading correctly. I am trying to pretend I haven’t been absent from the blogging sphere, and desperately trying to regain some level of relevance again. Hey, how are you doing? So you’re here because clearly the thought of a self-fucking butt plug sounds like something that would be right up your back alley. And to be fair, that’s exactly what I thought when MEO very kindly sent it to me many moons ago.

I am truly sorry that I have kept everyone waiting for new content for so long. I will delve into everything in a blog post at some point (he says). But for now, let’s focus on why the Thump It Curved Thumping Anal Plug had me clutching at the bed sheets.

First Impressions

The basics; packaging is simple – basic cardboard box, very inoffensive. Inside you get the Plug, a remote control and a charging cable. The plug is made from Silicone and is completely waterproof. Charging is conducted via USB and takes approximately 2 hours, giving you around 1 hour of play time. A remote control is included for ease of use (and requires 2 x AAA batteries which are not included).

The plug has a circumference of 3.5 inches around it’s narrowest point, and then widens to a good 5 inches around the middle. It has a total insertable length of 4.75 inches. The plug has a slight curve in the shaft, making this a plug a great bet for prostate play. Once fully charged and ready to go, the Thump It has 7 functions; 3 speeds and 4 patterns. Inside the plug is a weight which moves up and down inside the shaft, creating a thrusting sensation. It’s very similar to the discontinued Stronic Zwei from Fun Factory in that respect (although this doesn’t feel as fancy).

In Use

It may not feel as fancy as the aforementioned Zwei, but it does still feel pretty solid, and it has a decent weight to it. Set up is really easy; there is a power button on the base of the plug with needs to be held down for as couple of seconds. Once on, you can than activate the plug with the remote. The functions of the plug include 3 speed settings and then a choice of 4 random thrusting patterns. The patterns are hard to describe, but are a mixture of frenzied thrusting to waves and rolling crescendo style thrusts.

Once comfortable with the controls, it was time to try it out. With a good coating of lube, I made sure the curve in the shaft (which, to be honest, is actually far more subtle in the flesh) was pointing ‘outwards’. The first 2 inches glide in with minimal effort. The bulbous hump in the middle was a little trickier (I am SO out of practice) but eventually, we got past it with a satisfying POP. The curved tail of the plug sat between my cheeks comfortably and I was ready to go.

In the back of my mind, I have to admit, my expectations were low; I seem to vaguely recall the Zwei being ‘OK, but it doesn’t really feel like thrusting’ – so when it came to turning the Thump It on; I wasn’t quite ready for the sensation I was about to receive. On the lowest setting, it didn’t feel like thrusting, but there was a definite sensation of mild movement. Like a finger gently caressing my prostate. I lay there for a few minutes, just soaking in the gentle but pleasant sensation.

It was time to take it up a notch (or two). On the higher of the speed settings, if I lay on my stomach, there is a more pronounced ‘throbbing’ sensation. With each ‘thump’, my prostate was being teased and it does… kinda… sorta feel like you are getting fucked. I mean, it’s subtle; but it was a sensation I was happy to go with. It felt really good! I could feel myself getting harder with every thump, so thought this was a good time to check out the patterns.

3 out of the 4 don’t really feel all that different from each other. The 4th pattern, however – I don’t really know what’s going on, but it’s frenzied and I LOVE it. I could feel that warmth in my groin spreading, and I knew I was close to orgasming. I rolled onto my back, and barely stroked my cock, before I was exploding, shuddering and panting. OK. So, that worked really well?

Clean-up and Maintenance

The Thump It is waterproof, so clean up is as simple as rinsing thoroughly with warm, soapy water. The remote is not waterproof, so if that’s gotten a bit ‘lubey’, then a soft damp cloth will get it good as new. The silicone (as with most) is a dust magnet. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a storage bag; but then I wonder if I have been spoiled by all the storage bags i’ve gotten with other toys – is this an expectation or just a nice bonus if a toy has one? It’s not a deal breaker; just means i’ll need to rinse it before use (because no one wants a dusty hole).

Summary

I really liked this plug, and is one of the better ‘thrusting’ toys i’ve tried. Personally, I still think ‘thrusting’ toys are a little bit of a gimmick; but when it does work, they can be a lot of fun. I love the remote aspect, allowing for easy use – but also can add another element to partner play. Imagine being blindfolded, handcuffed faced down on the bed and then giving your partner the remote… right?!

There’s not much else to say; it’s a comfortable plug with a satisfying length and girth. The curve, whilst subtle, did ensure that my prostate was getting a seeing too, and the speeds and patterns were actually pretty decent. My only issue with this, is the price. For what it is, it’s pretty expensive – and it doesn’t even come with a storage bag? Or a nice box? Sneaky… My only justification for the price is that it’s BETTER than the Zwei, and that retailed for well over £100 when it existed so… your call.
