Long time readers of the blog will know that over the past year, I have rekindled my love for the Fleshlight/Fleshjack.

I have to admit, not many other manual masturbators can match the quality and sensation of one of these little beauties – and i’ve yet to have a really bad experience with one. I never thought it was possible to improve on an already winning idea, but as my husband found out recently – you could!

The Fleshjack Vibro is a regular Fleshjack sleeve that hides a couple of little secrets. This was kindly sent to me by the lovely people over at sextoys.co.uk in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. So it ticked all the boxes for the Mr, would it tick all the boxes for me? Well let’s find out, shall we?

First Impressions

This is the largest Fleshjack box i’ve seen so far, and that’s because they are packing lots of extras into this box. It’s a fairly inoffensive box with no suggestive imagery on the outside, although there is no hiding what is on the inside. The Vibro comes in their exclusive ‘Gun Metal’ colour case (which is simply GORGEOUS to look at). I was in love with the powder blue from the Austin Wilde, but this colour is just…. I don’t know – it feels really masculine and sleek. Oh goodness, am I really that kind of person that i’m cooing over the colour? Yes, Yes I am. Anyway….

Aside from the FJ unit, you also get 3 mini bullet vibrators, a pack of replacement batteries, a sachet of lube and a care leaflet. The bullets already contain batteries as well, so you are all set for a little while. The bullets take the smaller LR44 (x3 per bullet) batteries. The replacement battery pack contains 10 batteries, but LR44’s are widely available, so they are easy to get hold of relatively inexpensively.

This particular unit has an butt opening, and the texture inside is extremely similar to the inside of the

Count Cockula that we reviewed a little while ago (the entire inside of the canal is dotted with lots of nubs all the way down). As always, you can adjust the suction using the little cap. All in all, it was looking pretty straight forward.

In Use

However things aren’t always what they seem, and as I mentioned, this little FJ has a secret. When you take out the sleeve, around the top, there are three little ‘pockets’ – deep enough to fit one of the mini bullet vibrators. To use, simply remove a bullet from the packet, unscrew the cap and make sure you remove the little disc of paper inside. Pop it into the pocket, and when you are ready, you can switch it on. Each bullet has one speed, which equates to a medium sort of buzz. It’s not rumbly but at this point, i’m not sure that’s important. When you are ready to go, turn the bullet on and then slip the sleeve back into the case and away you go.

You can increase/decrease the ‘intensity’ of the vibrations by simply choosing to use 1, 2 or all three of the bullets. This is where I decided that the one and only downfall of the Vibro, is the fact it’s a real bugger to have to stop, remove the sleeve and then either add/remove/turn on/turn off a bullet. So the best thing to do is to just stick all three and and then leave them in there, so you can just turn them on/off when you need to (although it’s still slightly annoying at having to pull out the sleeve each time).

The batteries in the bullets last for around about 45 mins to an hour if you leave it on constantly. This is more than enough time to get one really good long drawn out session, or a couple of smaller, more intense sessions. This is the downside to these battery operated bullets – they don’t last a huge amount of time, and you have to replace the batteries constantly. However, when they are working, they do make the Vibro a very entertaining and stimulating experience.

If you are ‘OK’ with the noise (i.e discretion is not a worry) then the We-Vibe Tango does just about fit into the pockets, however as it is longer, a little bit does stick out and will rattle against the side – however you can cushion this (I placed a thin piece of foam that came round one of my glass dildos around the outside – this softened the rattle a little.

So how does it feel – well, when used on it’s own without the bullets, it feels exactly as the Count Cockula did – with a good helping of lube, the texture did feel really incredible as it worked it’s way along the length of my shaft. I would have had no problem achieving a satisfactory orgasm using it this way. Things definitely got more interesting when the vibrations were involved. Due to the placement of the pockets, the vibrations will encircle the penis as you thrust in and out. They are not the strongest vibrations, and as I said earlier, they are slightly more of a buzz than a rumble, but as I slipped in and out, those tingles were being transmitted (albeit slightly muted) through the sleeve and I found myself approaching the point of orgasm much faster than I did when I used it without the vibrations.

When I gave the FJ to my other half to use, as I watched him writhe around and moan deeply as he thrust in and out, I knew the vibrations were doing their job, and he too reached orgasm much faster than when using it manually. As he caught his breath, I asked him what he thought. “The bullets definitely add something. It’s not strong, but I don’t think it needs to be when you have the intensity coming from the texture as well. If it was any stronger, I think it’d be too much” – and to that extent, I would agree.

The texture alone is pretty damn exciting, and I think if you had much stronger vibrations, it would be overkill – but the balance here is just right. When I asked how it compared to his favourite, the Hydro Stroker, he said that the Hydro Stroker is definitely more powerful in terms of vibrations, however the Vibro offers more in the way of texture, especially as you can properly thrust with the Vibro, and not with the Hydro. He also stated that the Hydro can be used flaccid, and the vibrations can help boost an erection, whereas you obviously need to be ‘well on your way’ before you can use the Vibro. It’s a fair point.

Clean-up and Maintenance

As with all Fleshjacks, you’ll need to remove the sleeve and give it a thorough rinse through with warm water and lots of toy cleaner. Ensure that it is completely dry, inside and out before you powder and store away. The bullets are supposed to be waterproof, but when they are tucked away in the sleeve, they barely get dirty, however I still remove them, and rather than giving them a full on rinse, I just wipe them over with a damp cloth, just to be on the safe side.

Summary

I have got to say, I personally really enjoyed using this, both with and without the vibrations. They are not the strongest vibrations by any stretch of the imagination, and the material does soften that a little bit as well, but when combined with the texture on the inside, it’s just enough to take it up to the next level. My only quibble is that it’s just a bit of a nuisance to have to remove the sleeve, turn it on, put the sleeve back in, take the sleeve out, turn if off, put the sleeve back in.

But when it’s able to pull out an orgasm of the likes that the Vibro can induce, well i’m more inclined to be a bit more forgiving. All I will say, is if the regular hassle of cleaning a Fleshlight pisses you off, then the Vibro won’t change your opinion. It’s a solid four thumbs up from Me and the Mr!
