This past summer, the kind folk over at Lovehoney put together some amazing sex toy bundles – all for £40.

They came in 4 flavours – Men, Women, Couples and Anal. I ordered an Anal and a Men bundle. Turns out for £80, I got almost £300’s worth of toys. An absolute bargain! Sadly, these are now out of stock, but here’s hoping they do something like this again soon!

This absolute beast of a plug was included. I have to admit, when I first took it out of the box, I swear I heard my bum shout “you are having a laugh, ain’t ya?” And clench shut. All I will say, is patience and practice are your dearest friends. So, was I able to overcome this ‘Everest’ butt plug?

First impressions

I really love how Lovehoney package all of their own brand products. The design is always very simple, yet it still feels somewhat premium. No crude or crass drawings or photos – just product name and a product photo on the outside, and then inside – the plug sits inside a plastic tray with little user guide underneath. It’s not luxury by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly doesn’t look or feel as cheap as some packaging can be.

When taking the plug out of the packaging, I really was struggling to comprehend the size. In terms of toys being used for extended periods internally, this was definitely up there as one of the largest. However, upon comparing it with another anal toy I have (the Stronic Zwei) – turns out at the widest point, they both have the same circumference – so I knew that I would be able to insert this with no problem – but I still couldn’t get over the feeling that it looks bigger than it actually is. Will this be a problem? Well I’ll come to that a bit later.

The plug itself is made from (almost) seam-free silicone and feels incredibly smooth and silky to the touch. The bionic bullet is removable and requires one AAA battery to operate. It’s nice and easy to remove (unlike some other toys I have had). The plug has a good solid weight to it and a butt-busting 5.5 Inch circumference – so this is definitely aimed at your slightly more advanced player.

This plug is part of the Lovehoney Bionic Bullet range. There is a 5 function bullet inside which features 2 speeds and 3 patterns. The bullet can be removed from the toy, so effectively, you have 2 toys for the price of 1.

In Use

Now, I consider myself an intermediate player, and have plenty of experience, so I decided I was just going to go for it. Damn my ego – the first time I tried, I just could not get it in. I definitely need to work up to it. I don’t know if this was just because my brain was saying “dude, have you seen how big that is?” and I was getting anxious that it wasn’t going to ‘fit’ or anything. I decided that for the best, it might be a good idea to actually warm up a little first – and it totally make sense – I never think it’s a good idea to just go in, guns blazing, without at least thinking things through a little bit.

So after using several different plugs and toys of varying size, I was finally in a position to try this again. With lashings and lashings of lube on both the plug and me (make sure it’s a good quality water-based anal lube – I’ve found that sometimes, silicone toys can ‘drag’ so you want to make sure this is properly slick), and I attempted to inserted again. This time, with only a little bit of resistance, I managed to slip it all the way in. Before I got it all the way in, I was already starting to feel incredibly (and pleasantly) full. I had to take it slowly, and with every inch that went in, I stopped and took a few deep breaths. Once I was finally down to the t-bar, I had to lay there for a few moments and catch my breath. I haven’t had a feeling of fullness like that for a little while, so it caught me off guard a little bit!

As I’ve stated in my previous review for the Icicles P-Spot plug, I’m not the kind of person that spends any length of time walking around with plugs in. It’s not because I don’t like it, it’s just not practical for me at the moment. However, the size of this plug meant that moving around was not something I really wanted to be doing! As I lay there, taking it all in, I thought it was about time I turned on the bullet to try out the vibrations. Now, this plug was ever so slightly teasing my prostate, and with each clench of the pelvic floor, I was pulling that plug closer to my prostate, which sent pleasurable sensations right through my body. I had hoped the vibrations would enhance this, but sadly it didn’t.

Whilst the vibrations were felt throughout the plug, they were softened quite a bit by the thick silicone, and I actually found the vibrations actually added very little to the overall experience. In fact, out of the plug, the bullet vibrator didn’t feel as powerful as I had hoped. That’s not to say that you couldn’t possibly repurpose a more powerful bullet in it’s place (but that’s really besides the point). That being said. it still felt nice – but it did certainly have me desperately wishing for something more powerful – but maybe my prostate has just been spoiled by the likes of the Rosa and the Nexus? The great thing is, that you can remove the bullet and still use it as a standard silicone plug, so it’s not all bad – and it really does leave you feeling nice and full, but not uncomfortably so – and the T-Bar is big enough to stop it from going in too far.

Clean-up and maintenance

As it’s silicone, all you need to do is remove the bullet (as it’s not waterproof) and rinse the plug with some warm water and anti-bac toy cleaner. I would be personally inclined to let the plug air-dry before putting away (as silicone is notorious for collection dust and hair).

Summary

As butt plugs go, this is definitely a worthy purchase. It’s satisfying length and girth certainly provides a satisfactory fullness that enhances both solo play and partner play. The vibrations are a nice touch, but could be a bit stronger. This would turn a good plug, into a very good plug. Perfect for intermediate and advanced players.
